On behalf of the Housing Development Corporation of Bergen County the Housing Authority of Bergen County is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, November 28th, 2022, at 9:00 am through Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at 11:59 pm pre-applications will be available for Silver Maple Gardens Senior Residence located at 348-354 Leonia Avenue, Bogota, New Jersey for income eligible senior citizens 62 years of age and older. Silver Maple Gardens consists of twenty 1-bedroom apartments.

The HABC will accept applications ONLINE ONLY.

A random selection lottery will be conducted to select 150 eligible applicants to be placed on the wait list for future potential vacancies.  To be eligible for the lottery, all completed applications must be received by 11:59 pm on Thursday, December 1st, 2022. Applications received after 11:59 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022, will be declined. The lottery will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022.

Assistance completing online pre-applications will be provided by the Housing Authority at One Bergen County Plaza, 2^nd Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Staff will be made available to assist with the completion of applications beginning Monday, November 28th, 2022, at 9:00 am through Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.  

To be eligible to apply, the head of household must be 62 years of age or older with an annual gross income which cannot exceed the following income limits:

FOR SILVER MAPLE GARDENS PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO LIVE, WORK, TRAIN, OR ATTEND SCHOOL IN BERGEN COUNTY. APPLICANTS WILL BE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST IN ORDER OF THEIR PREFERENCE WEIGHT AND LOTTERY RANK. SELECTED APPLICATIONS WILL BE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST FOR FUTURE POTENTIAL VACANCIES
