The Housing Authority of Bergen County is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, December 19th, 2022, 9:00 am EST through Thursday, December 22nd, 2022, at 11:59 pm EST pre-applications will be available for Saddle River Senior Residence located at 1-20 Wolf Run, Saddle River, New Jersey 07458 for income eligible senior citizens (62 years of age or older). Saddle River Senior Residence consists of (12) 1-bedroom and (4) 2-bedroom apartments. The HABC will accept applications ONLINE ONLY.
A random selection lottery will be conducted to select 125 eligible applicants to be placed on the waiting list for future potential vacancies.

Submission of a pre-application does not guarantee placement on the waiting list. Only one pre-application per household will be accepted. To be eligible for the lottery, all completed applications must be received by 11:59 pm on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. Applications received after 11:59 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022, will be declined. The lottery will take place on Friday, January 6th, 2023. Written and faxed applications will NOT be accepted. Assistance completing online pre-applications will be provided by the Housing Authority at One Bergen County Plaza, 2nd Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Staff will be made available to assist with the completion of applications beginning Monday, December 19th, 2022, at 9:00 am through Thursday, December 22nd, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.

To be eligible to apply, the head of household must be 62 years of age or older with an annual gross income which cannot exceed the following income limits:

FOR SADDLE RIVER SENIOR RESIDENCE PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO LIVE, WORK, TRAIN, OR ATTEND SCHOOL IN BERGEN COUNTY. APPLICANTS WILL BE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST IN ORDER OF THEIR PREFERENCE WEIGHT AND LOTTERY RANK. SELECTED APPLICATIONS WILL BE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST FOR FUTURE POTENTIAL VACANCIES.
