The Housing Authority of Bergen County is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, January 9, 2023, at 9:00 am through Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 11:59 pm pre-applications will be available for David F. Roche Apartments located at 2 Aladdin Avenue, Dumont, New Jersey 07628 for income eligible senior citizens 62 years of age and older. David F. Roche Apartments consists of 99 one-bedroom apartments. The HABC will accept applications ONLINE ONLY. Applications will be available at  habcnjwaitinglists.org

A random selection lottery will be conducted to select 250 eligible applicants to be placed on the wait list for future potential vacancies.  The HABC will use a third party to randomly select the applicants by computer to be placed on the waiting list. To be eligible for the lottery, all completed applications must be received by 11:59 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Applications received after 11:59 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023, will be declined. The lottery will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Assistance completing online pre-applications will be provided by the Housing Authority at One Bergen County Plaza, 2^nd Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Staff will be made available to assist with the completion of applications beginning January 9, 2023, at 9:00 am through Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. 

To be eligible to apply, the head of household must be 62 years of age or older with an annual gross income which cannot exceed the following income limits:

FOR DAVID F. ROCHE PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO LIVE, WORK, TRAIN, OR ATTEND SCHOOL IN BERGEN COUNTY. THE TOP APPLICANTS IN THE LOTTERY WILL BE PLACED IN ORDER OF THEIR PREFERENCE WEIGHT. SELECTED APPLICATIONS WILL BE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST FOR FUTURE POTENTIAL VACANCIES.
